I got a pretty Appaloosa and doing a debt quest it got ran over by a train

if you have zero idea what you're in for it's miserable

my first time around it was and still is fourth time around the worst part of the game. Guarma doesn't even count as a chapter to me, but Colter is 4 of the longest and slowest missions

He also allows you to reset your weapon familiarity along with allowing you to laugh at any encounter with pure evil since John has no real mechanics convincing you to pay bounties or not be minimum honor
