Perfext Cougars appear near annesburg in the hills, by the trapper near pronghorn ranch, and in a special encounter in post by John's ranch at night. There is a special place for Moose that is OOB; a Reddit post details it. Panthers appear near old henry farm, it's almost always perfect. Make sure to pick some plants and fuck around quiet-like; he'll stealth attack you otherwise. Two perfect grizzly bears in encounters; both are in West Elizabeth. Otherwise they are probably the hardest find you will have. They don't like to come out often, and when they do you won't get to get the drop on them to rifle kill unless you're quick.

Foxtrotters are braver, so are Mustangs. He's got three less stat points and isn't the best while hunting, especially off horseback. He doesn't like guns.

I have experience with lots of top tier horses in this game and Buell is one of the top tiers, but in my experience he's a bit wimpy and slower than the other horses I have quite a bit of experience with, which are basically the fussy Arabians and Fox Trotters.

I also am an advocate of the Arabian fear being a big myth of players unaware of how predators and fear works with horses in game (just like real life)

So my experience is pretty much biased with that.
