You don't need a high speed horse for any of those Town to Town Horseman challenges. I used a Andalusian for horseman 9, and had Minutes to spare. Just make sure you plan your route well, like use Train Tracks for most of them.

double action if you wanna shoot fast but miss shots , but semi auto dual wielding pistols are the best

just get 2 semi autos for the best damage output and for rifles i mainly use the lancaster for close range bolt action for long range
