I -think- someone was talking about, if you reply a mission, you can get something saved to your Compendium. But, obviously, not get it to your actual save. Like if you missed the Rare Rolling Block, you can go back and pick it up. But it still won't be in your inventory afterwards. but it'll be in your Compendium..... I've not tried this out, so can't comfirm.

Was trying to figure out what works on muskrats. Shot 3 of them, 2 while they were running and one in the face all with regular arrows. They scoff at small game and varmint ruins their rating. 2 of them were 2 stars (shot with regular arrows and they maintained their rating. One was 3 star also shot with regular arrow in the face-RATING DROPPED. HAHA they need to either fix the rating system of be done with it. It's cool they tried to add a hunting system but it's all jacked.

All kinds of stuff doesn't work. Just had my chance with the v again. In the face. Well, since I can't select my shot with the right bumper, like it says I can, I blasted off 2 shots, brought it to a 1. HAHAHAHA
I can only hover the reticle over the target and hope I am quick enough to only keep it on the target enough time to get a single shot off. I'm always having to bob my aim up and down for most head shots in order to just touch the head of the target as quickly as possible to avoid 4 shots while I also pull it off the target. Whew, lots of getting used to.
I bet it's bad ass to have a working dead eye, though. Well with a scope it almost works. Scope makes it like a duel and that's as close to what they say the system should be.

I'm having no issues. I almost never use the compendium suggestions because they are wrong. Some animals provide full perfects no matter where you hit them with the proper tool. Some don't. It's just a memorization thing now. I always get a kill and always find what I need it's just figuring out that the compendium is wrong over half the time (for real) and that some animals need the hs and others don't and that's just the memorization. I mean the frustration comes in when I start trying to adjust my tool based on my experience with the compendium but I can't always do that.
Like the panther. Not 1 gun, ammo type, etc. worked. Compendium says it needs a gun or poison arrows. It only needs improved arrow.

Because of the comp I always insta guess down or up not what it says. When I get it memorized it'll be much easier.

I haven't had a single problem with a big cat yet. I think one leaped at me woming back from the legendary buck. Horse bucked my and when I saw the cat it was just finishing a slide stop.
