Take Two has ruined Rockstar.
I first wanna start by saying that games published by Rockstar like "The Warriors", "Bully", "Midnight Club: LA" and the Grand Theft Auto franchise are all games that have helped me get through some tough times and are great games.

Take Two Interactive or 2k were people that help publish incredible games like Borderlands, Mafia and even wrestling games(it all went it shits after 2k14). Hell, at one point, you could say that 2k was a publisher that made games that provided the best entertainment value out of anything in the market.

Recent trends, however, have completely changed my view on 2k. For starters, the aggressive monetization in their sports games( here's looking at you NBA) was just insanity and let's not even start with the mess that was WWE 2k20. To say 2k views these games as interchangeable, cheap and stale products that naive gamers will buy would be an understatement.

2k butchered Mafia 3, which was really frustrating as I was a huge fan of Mafia 2 and even bigger fan of the Mob genre. Mafia 3 had so much potential, the story was intriguing, the soundtrack was incredible, like seriously, the soundtrack of Mafia was one of it's best aspects. But the state of the game at launch was more insulting than EA's behavior. It made me think that they just wanted people's money more than giving them a great game.

And let's not even get started about Borderlands, a franchise that I absolutely adored for it's entertainment and replay value, was ruined. While Borderlands 3 was great, it was like MGS5, great gameplay that was dragged down by a soulless story. To call the story disappointing would be an understatement.

Now, this brings me to Rockstar. The past has been excellent but the future is worrisome. Gta V being milked to death, in game monetization that feel like slow punches to the death and the void that is Gta online. I reached CEO in a day and the novelty to play quickly wore off after that. With the recent announcement of Gta V for the new generation of console, I honestly don't think that Rockstar is done milking the game. The biggest downer was Dan Houser leaving Rockstar. The guy was a genius and the moment he left, I knew that 2k is going to turn GTA into a soulless, stale and flawed product that is just made to make the shareholders and other higher-ups in 2k happy. I know I could be wrong but at this point I really doubt that 2k gives two shits about the fans of the game.

I am already pissed that we haven't received any info about the game in almost seven years but I would reach Trevor levels of rage if the next GTA game would receive the treatment like the games mentioned above. Sadly, 2k gives more f's about sharkcards than the experience of it's fans.
