The only idea I have is to obtain them again, save, and then see if they load

I know also that some hats don't save during Post game

only in the main game

even if you can obtain them in the post game, some just refuse to save, like the hat Jon wears at the bar, you can take it and save it during any of the main chapters, but if you do it during post game it won't save
