Yes, the Bow is rather hard to point upwards, so if the birds are flying up in the air, it's rather hard to get it angled right. If you can find a bird sitting on a rock or something, it should be fine. But Yes, if they are in the air, use the Varmint rifle

Bird hunting, though, ugh.... Make sure to check the Trapper to see what kind of feather you may need for hats/etc. If you care about that sort of thing.
