does anyone know the best spot to look for the red-footed booby, it’s the only animal from guarma that i’m missing and no matter how many times I reset, they don’t spawn and I’ve been waiting around the lake for a while

Just due north of the camp on Guarma, there is a large-ish flat rock, the end of which is bare of vegetation. If you walk out to the edge of the rock, you can pull out your binoculars/scope and scan a good portion of the sky. I did this for about 3 minutes before a pair of boobies flew by, and I shot and skinned one. I went back to the rock, and about 10 minutes later, a flock of 3-4 boobies flew overhead, close enough I was easily able to study one with the binoculars.

If anyone's struggling with this I wasted a bunch of time trying from high points close to the camp and waterfall.. eventually I went closer towards the beach, specifically on the cliff, if you look at the map you'll be standing on the first O in the word ARROYO, and within a minute a bunch of boobies flew thru the sky low enough for me to study and shoot.

The solution is to lure the law on the island back to your camp. When this happens, you will be busted and be respawned. This will fix the time issue and all the animals will be MUCH easier to find. I did this and found the red footed booby literally within 30 seconds.

TyeDye thinks this bug occurs when somebody completes Dutch's mission but leaves the other mission uncompleted so they can explore. Makes sense since this is what I had done and I had the same bug.

So I am redoing the game for like the 5th time. I just did Favored son. In the escape with Dutch right before the jump off the cliff part I was tossing fire bottles and dynamite instead of shooting. I ended up having to skip because they weren't letting me live to jump off the cliff. I was getting shot by all the soldiers as soon as Dutch said we can't do that every time. Money is definitely easier to come by. I get $5 or so per animal hide, and can sell them to any merchant.

My horse is really fast, so that's fun.

And 2 can get so slow sometimes.

I also like that you get way more looting bodies in 1.

I'll often get as little as $0.60 looting one in 2, but I killed a bunch of bandits in 1 and each body had at least $4 on it.

they are everywhere until you are looking for them specifically

it’s just hard cus they don’t run in packs like most other animals
