technically? yes, the stats are worse. however, lancaster is generally accepted as the best repeater (that or litchfield). its very satisfying to shoot and has a higher ammo capacity. in my opinion, the carbine feels like youre shooting marshmallows. i prefer the lancaster because, its just that, a preference. pay less attention to stats. it doesnt matter in the long run

if you upgrade it it makes it better as well. and if you use it more often, your familiarity brings the stats up too

the carbine is the beginning repeater you get in both rdr2 and rdo. ive only encountered one person who CHOOSES to main it after first getting it. because. it sucks

How to easily complete the Bountiful, Grin and Bear it and Collectors Item achievement

bountiful: get all your bounties and then camp in the room with the man-made mutant (search it up if you dont know where it is), law cant get you there

grin and bear it: bears will spawn without a long cooldown in the forest northwest of wallace station. go kill one after getting tackled, fast travel away, sleep for while, come back, rinse and repeat. EVEN IF the corpse is still there, and it will be, another bear will spawn, you just need to run around until you come across a functioning spawn point.

collectors item: use this map (https://jeanropke.github.io/RDOMap/), scroll, click singleplayer then rock carvings. they are the easiest to collect (only 10). then just complete the strand with francis sinclair (geology for beginners) and youre done

In chapter 4 (and after) you can return to Braithwaite Manor. Search Catherine's body, go to the left, and look for some floorboards near what would be an outer wall. Once you find the lockbox, open it and sell the gold
