it takes a lot of time. For example, a panther appears alone and attacks from the bushes. You can come to a habitat and it's not a fact that it will be there, even if a special map shows that there are usually a lot of them. I saw a review that if you catch all the animals in rdr 2, then you can learn to hunt during this time, but I disagree with this because during this time you can not only learn how to hunt, but also how to handle weapons, shoot and catch a hare.

if youve killed them, itll take a while for them to start truly spawning again. time only moves when youre in-game so unless youve been playing for 48 hours that doesnt mean much. try saving and loading the save and trying other spawns for bats
