I played RDR one before I played RDR two. So I knew how it all ends, RDR two has a fantastic ending, because it’s basically Arthur running around, trying to do good deeds to make up for a life of sin. And well, he essentially dies in vain.

Arthur dies while trying to save John’s family, and it ultimately doesn’t work out the way he hoped

your honor only affects the symbolism in missions/cutscenes. it doesnt affect anything directly in the cutscenes itself

and the missions that involve symbolism scenes are in chapter 6 and in late chapter 5, if you choose to do a specific mission then

it doesnt affect important scenes that decide your ending or anything tho... as long as you have high/low honor as you go into the final mission, thats all that matters. you could have low honor for the entire game and it wouldnt matter

the best way IMO is to sneak and rob the passengers first while killing the guards, then after robbing the passengers, kill them all, this will ensure you can loot their bodies later, then you kill or take over the train and drive away from a town because you'll always have law coming to you while in a town. then after killing law, shoot safes, loot any provisions, kill more law and start looting the bodies and run away from more law or kill more law and loot them as you please
