Please clarify, where do I go to get the 1899 for free? One video I saw said to take it off of a dead guard at Shady Belle the Lemoyne Raiders' hideout. I successfully killed EVERYONE but none of them had a 1899. The next video I saw said to go to the Angelo Bronte's Mansion the very large mansion at the west most point of Saint Denis. Again, I successfully killed everyone but none of the guards had a 1899.

@bleak ironbtw, i tried your method multiple times for the mft. while i dont doubt its impossible, because clearly you did it, its not as easy as you make it out to be. you have to get the timing just right, where the horses arent running for the picture until youre next to albert mason. with how the mission is supposed to go, they run before you get to him.

lining it up seems to be even more difficult than just tracking the horse, imo.

the few times i tested it, if i didnt get it the way you had it, the horses were already gone and out of sight... not sure how rockstar does it since im not all that knowledgeable on game development, but the mft is already somewhere in the forest, gone. unless its lined up the way you had it in the video, theres no physical way possible to get to them in time

it is a cool trick, just a difficult one to master

It does take a little bit to get the timing down but if you start riding to albert right as you lose control of the herd you have a lot of time to make it if your horse is right there and you skip cutscene. In my run i actually got off my horse Way way wayy too early but i still made it, but if you ride and hop off pretty close to him and then start running at him you'll be able to get to him before the cutscene even plays. I'm able to do it pretty consistently but once you know your freedom in the timing you can get it every time

I do think its harder on pc though but i dont know the differences exactly

but yeah main thing is that it takes like a lot of time of spamming and tracking to find it that way, main reason i wanted to say it is that a lot of players just dont think its possible to be fast enough to get it and think it takes too long/too hard to get with the tracking method so i wanted to spread the word

Hold tab and select different foods while your standing next to horse. Do 1 feed, 1 brush, 1 pat then repeat with different food. I managed it with only 3 of each type of food

I love RDR2 but.. the extremely restricting level design, the extremely basic shooting overly reliant on aim assist, the extremly simple hunting mechanics, the extremly simple melee mechanics, the extremly slog movement, things that add nothing to the game but just added cuz realism or some random reason. Really if it werent for the story and the cool scenarios you get in or the side missions, that make the gameplay fun, i wouldnt find myself playing this game for the gameplay alone

So I've now been to the electric lab on the most northeast corner of of map FOUR TIMES and I still cannot get inside to trigger the mission to get the electric lamp. The instructions I found online said the three conditions to trigger the mission are, 1. Complete 'A Bright Bouncing Boy I.' DONE. 2. Wait at least 48 in game hours. DONE. 3. Approach the lab at night. Done. But the mission does not trigger. There is no "MD" inside of the lab as shown on the walkthroughs. I even slept another full day and went back with the same negative results. What am I doing wrong?

So I found the trick. 4. Complain about the mission not triggering on Discord. Done. This worked and finally triggered the mission!
