The chapter 1 mission makes it sound like the bow is your only weapon for hunting. That's not true. You see the varmint rifle is good for rabbits, for example.

Some animals are most easily hunted with rifles and snipers even.

1. I hardly done any side activities like hunting and etc. if any at all. I have /not/ been robbing and looting people and etc. All I did was side and main questing, pretty much nothing else.

I feel like I already have more money than I ever need. I have every camp upgrade. All the weapons that I want (and more) that are upgraded and customized to the max. I've a great horse and equipment for it. I'm full of resources and provisions, paid my bounties.

What the hell else to spend money on? Is there anything? Cause at this point I dont even feel the need to make any. And I'm just starting chapter 4.

Bison might be funny since they have big herds. Generally though you can use jeanropke's map to find spawn locations (the black dots). Those represent not only the spawn point, but a "slot". When an animal is spawned, it takes up that slot. If you kill the animal and the body is still there, it's still using that slot until it despawns with time.

Now if nothing is filling that slot, then saving and loading the save will make the game potentially fill that slot with it's designated animal, based on a lot of arcane factors only the programmers seem to know. But you can repeatedly save and load the save until those are filled.

But Bison MIGHT be weird in that they are always spawned in a big herd. I'm not sure. But they'll pop up eventually. Just swing by that area every so often, worst case. It's a very particular spawn area.

Theres a chance it can bug and dissapper if you take the train, from what i've read. The pelts you bundle up and stick on the back of your horse, like bison, elk, cows or ox. So i dont risk it and just ride home. But for pelts like foxes or deers, it shouldnt be a problem

The ledger is a book that'll have the upgrades for your camp. You will be able to upgrade, restock, and resupply by putting money into the camp funds by using the ledger. you can also manually suply the camp by bringing in meat to Pearson.

The ledger will become available after a certain mission.

guys i am worried, after the arthurs part of the game ends, then i will play as John and i dont know what i will keep. Like guns, money, horses, clothes and content of the game, if i finish everything as arhurs such as side missions, legandary animals or crafting equipment from pelts etc. so what?

No consumables, valuables, or anything of that nature will persist.

Legendary things will go to their respective crafting merchant.

Horses will not persist. Money will not persist (unless you make a deposit in the bank of Aberdeen)

Guns and Clothes will persist. As will the compendium and trinkets. Anything permanent like that.

I killed the legendary ram with incendiary shotgun ammo. Burnt it to a crisp. Skinned it's totally charred hide to get a perfect pelt. Turned its innards into a charm bracelet by, just by owning, allows me to get twice as many spices from herbalism. Realism.

Speaking of skinning, I skin small animals by grabbing their asshole and then turning them inside out in one quick motion. Realism!
