train robbing bounties are unavoidable but you can mitigate them by killing as few lawmen as possible

step 1 is find an elevated or isolated piece of track that will confuse the lawmen ai and render them unable to board the train. you can use places like bards crossing, the tracks just before entering st denis from the west, and the super long tunnel in ambarino

step 2 is to buy a train ticket that takes you to the station just before your chosen spot. so riggs for bards crossing or annesberg for the ambarino spot. this will ensure you get a "money train" which is the kind that is blue on the outside and will have multiple safes and a lot of wealthy passengers

then you jump aboard and take control of the train, stopping it at your chosen spot. then you just kill all the guards and blow up the safes at the front, rob all the passengers on your way to the back, blow the last 1 or 2 safes and then get out of there
