it’s probably because you picked it up at one point and then dropped it which makes the game register it as your gun and any time one of your guns are on the floor it shows up on the map

In one of the first few missions where you break in the cream stallion, I didn't know I had to hitch a horse to keep it so I just started the next mission and spawned in on my first horse. Sometimes over-specced machines (all hardware newer + faster than when game came out on PC) do not have a high enough CPU usage at game launch. Why this causes an Activation Error is ridiculous but it can. If you keep getting activation errors, just RUN ANOTHER GAME IN THE BACKGROUND BEFORE LOADING RED DEAD 2. I just load a random Minecraft world, hit launch on Red Dead Launcher, and get almost no activation errors. Once the game’s menu shows up, quit out of the other game.

I have. Twice. I tried almost everything. Someone on Reddit said to log in on chrome and leave the tab open and that seemed to work??? Unsure why or how but my game is fine now

Sometimes i wish that you could easy get some "Pelts" what you need for the Hunter Request... it says i need to get some "Chipmunks" But the *** i´m now trying for ages. But which one do you need?

I found Red ones, Brown ones, black Ones... but its not right?!

I think you're hunting the wrong animal

Color doesn't matter when it comes to pelts

Also I've 100% the game and I don't remember any pelt requirement being chipmunks

replaying the game for the second time, i didnt know it has so much replay value (red dead 2)

You need a carcass^
Not a pelt. Mrs Hobbs likes to stuff them for decor and it would be hard to do so with just a pelt

Also, after you pick up the perfect carcass, make sure you don't cook any stringy meat or small game meat or anything like that because that would destroy the carcass

Got back into the game after a few months. Realized where I am in the story (end of chapter 4)

Apart from that I don't see anything you could do wrong

Keep trying your luck

And honestly, if it's not working, do something else and maybe you'll just find it along the way

Oh and to add to the perfect pelt requirement, you need to use small game arrows. And yes you need to manually select it everytime if you die or reload a save or are picking your bow up fresh

im in chapter 3 lol ive never finished the game coz i dont want arthur to ukno but i have like 200o hours on console and like 200 on PC i just bought it on rockstar social club this time coz steam is very broken lol

Ffs 😄 i just found a Perfect Grizzly Pelt and brought it to a Trapper... and right in front of the Trapper i got that Chipmunk 🤣

It was just running along...
