That's a good one. I actually never saw it happen in camp, I saw it on youtube, but it's a great interaction and I think it's one of the only times where we see Javier and Bill be antagonistic to each other.

My favorite camp interaction happens in chapter 2 during the party after rescuing Sean and it's a conversation between Hosea and Dutch about how they finally escaped the law and that things are going to be better now, showing both of them recalling memories, Dutch being more hopeful and Hosea more melancolic. There's so much foreshadowing and complexity in this interaction, it's crazy

My second favorite is Charles violently throwing Micah on the ground after Micah insulted him.

Speaking of interactions i found a friendly stranger who told me about his brother and how he left him to freeze to death and you have the options to respond to them positively or negatively after he told me his story he got up from his campfire and then turned to me and said “do i know you” in a very cold tone and it gave me the option to respond positively or negatively it felt like he was giving me a moral test when responding to his story and that line reminded me of a strange man overall very creepy

what i did was skin the cougar, then sell the carcass to the trapper then sleep for a day or two

it respawns immediately afterward

ive heard people say you can throw it into the stream too but that was inconsistent for me

Pouring forth oil appears towards the end of chapter 2, I think you need to complete Blessed are the Meek and the Spines of America before it unlocks. But do you want to do it in "chronological order"? There is no order. The missions are meant to be played in the order you want

So, without counting side quests, random encouters, the length of each mission or any other variable, purely basing ourselves on the number of main missions by chapter, Chapter 2 is actually the longest chapter.

I was considering only the number of main missions in each chapter. If we consider the length of the missions, it's probably not chapter 2 the longest and it's probably chapter 6

Like I said, I wasn't taking in consideration the side missions, because in practice, chapter 2 isn't that long. Most people spend a lot of time on it, but it's not because it takes long to complete, it's because it's the first time the world truly opens up. It's really difficult to say exactly which chapter is the longest because it all depends on you. At which pace you complete the missions, what side quests you do or miss.

Switching to 1080p on a 1440p monitor does the same thing to me, i never do it but there is the option of super resolution where it scales your 1080p to 1440p minimising the performance drop while trying to make it look similar to 1440p (but not exactly) i have a amd graphic card but there may be similar methods for nvidia

I would always set it to native monitor res and use upscaling as needed though

Additionally i would recommend watching a optimisation guide and changing a few of the settings from preset, i play on almost max settings with the exception of altering lighting quality and reflections by setting them both to high instead of ultra

Other big fps hungry settings are shadow quality water physics and tree tesselation

Ok well around 60+fps is the general fps for your card in rdr2 so if you can get it to be stable or even cap it to 60 then that can help a lot with lag

Gold rush is making me annoyed at this game sadly, and it’s mostly due to bugs and poor mission management, like timers and you have to follow slow npcs like Micah, and blocking be considered taking a hit when fighting the knife dude on the train, etc

The 44 hours is grinding all the achievements not just 100% game completion. Which is much much easier then getting 100% completion on RDR2 (that took me forever)

You could use deadeye, but if you want a perfect carcass thats going to be a pain because the small game arrow wont hit it if its in the air

deadeye works but i don't my arrows back then they are not on the bird's carcass

You can shoot any other bird you see, take out a repeater, chug down a bottle of snake oil, shoot them out of the sky and pluck them

You get 1 feather for each bird if its poor quality I believe

And they fly in flocks

I think I found a bug idk how well known or if it works in vanilla, but useful. I had an alligator skin on the back of my horse and then I travelled with a train from emerald to valentine and it was gone, but then I went back on my horse and checked horse cargo and it shows the gator skin is still there. I later found another big pelt I stowed on my horse and cargo shows I have both stored still. I went to Pearson and they're both available. Pretty nice find if that works in the future.

When I did it I played 2 hours with nothing. Quit. Then came back a day later and got 2 within 10 minutes

And finally came back days later and got one in another 30 min

I’ll tell you one tip. If you’re gonna lose the game, you can stand up and start over and it won’t count as a loss.

But you have to start another game.

If you won 2/3 at emerald ranch and then go to st denis it will start over. So do all 3 in one place

well a regular or improved arrow can usually be substituted for a rifle round

but it still kills them outright without needing to stab them

its weird if theres no way to kill a bison outright without ruining the pelt

the bison thing is like a 3 cougar being able to survive an express rifle round to the chest and then it runs off and drops down wounded w a ruined pelt

the bow is more like an alternative to the loud guns for most animals

i just one shot cougars with a regular rifle round with no problem

i always aim for the head or neck

but yeah bison hunting aim for the lungs and heart not head lol
