Just keep a Springfield give it a long scope and get yourself a Lancaster with a scope too 14 bullets is pretty decent especially if u enhance the damage but you could also have a semi automatic shotgun

sooo close to the same experience when clearing up the last few things to do in this save; western bull moose compendium was not 100% (was actually just tracking i'd missed but didn't think to check what it was in the moment), randomly stumbled upon a (perfect!) western bull moose when riding along. nearly spat out my drink!
it was evasive, considering i was almost on top of him by the time i noticed and he bolted. pursued him for awhile and got a clean headshot..

didn't realize he was shot at the top of a huge slippery slope; carcass slid down halfway to a tiny spot only just barely enough to not slide further. spent a good 20+ minutes trying to land next to it without sliding further! unsuccessfully! eventually (!) found success sliding down the slope on horseback, where horse pushed carcass further down to an accessible space

if you ever get into a rare situation where you're softlocked stuck in a mission you have to press L then pressing on the mission then pressing retry multiple times till you can skip checkpoint but its very rare

I have a pretty good way of making small amounts of money while also getting ammunition, free of cost. So, I thought I'd share.

So, I have bounties in a bunch of places. All of them nearly $100, and one of them is as high as $340. And I never pay my bounties. Whenever the bounty hunters arrive, I take my guns, flee my horse, refill my dead eye (if needed) and engage in a fight. After I'm done, I loot the bodies.

It has worked pretty well for me. The last time I ever cleared a bounty was in Chapter 2. Now I'm in Chapter 4.
