I played it during lockdown and I was still in college at the time. Truly a great time to get lost. On the ps4 so the large screen up there and the feeling was great

Yeah definitely one of my favorite gaming experiences, I think my other favorite (as far as story stuff goes) is when I went into horizon zero dawn completely blind and I slowly was uncovering the story through the data points and whatnot, having this eureka moment when you realize what’s going on, that was so awesome too

I'd check again, and maybe check your weapon box (although you'd know if you put it in there) - typically any weapon you pick up you now have it even after swapping with another on the ground.. id ont think those special revolvers are any different

when I find new weapons out in the world i pick it up then swap with the gun i just dropped

Well i just got the Skin Deep achievement but the Zoologist Achievement is still sitting at 99/100. sawed offs with explosive rounds are fun too but for general stuff i go schofield personally

but like if you're doing headshots it doesnt honestly matter much beyond range/accurance... hoenstly I love using the varmint rifle on enemies, its such a weak little pop but its a good gun if you're doing headshots

its like rubbing salt in the wound too because its such a puny little gun

I’m not a big fan of the volcanic personally, but i definitely get that using the free gun guy mostly just because it’s expensive

The Downes Ranch is a great source of pigs and goats

Get over there, shoot the dog with a poison arrow, shoot the owner with a poison arrow. We don’t want to make the animals flee. Now take a springfield or a bolt action rifle and shoot the animals on the head. Scope and take your time. Kill them all! Then skin them all. Take the most valuable carcass afterwards or stash them in a hunting wagon, and go to Valentine to sell or to the camp

Also, kill any witnesses

When I use the hunting wagon, i had to find the nearest butcher but i also cannot afford to wait till morning

For eg if I an in New Austin and killed a bunch of cougars and boars and pronghorns, I can sell them to the tumbleweed butcher but if I had to feed the camp as arthur using mod, that hunting wagon might risk getting more than one day and the carcasses can rot

I did that once, regretted it when like 2/3 of my carcasses in the wagon rotted

I wish they have that pronghorn trinket perk

I was in clemens point chapter so i had it coming

Also, tried the gang hideouts mod, i feel it’s quite unpolished, so no thanks

As a bandit shootout game, this is great, but for high honor player like me now… hunting and collecting herbs and fishing seem to be… peaceful

I didnt play story missions until i was sure what I did was done

For the record, the whole reason why my first playthrough was low honor was because of the bandit challenges haha

But what I don’t like about hunting are the damn campers

One moment, I was shooting at a bird

The next moment, I got shot by an asshole because I was shooting near his camp without knowing

I had to kill him, then greet more assholes in town

That varmit rifle might as well be my weapon of choice because i usually kill them with a headshot

Hi. How does one continue the story? The only mission I have is Javier Escuella and that's in Blackwater, I can't go there yet, I get instantly killed before I can eve muster up Midnight Whiskey (my horse's name).

Because when I tried to go to that mission the GPS took me through Blackwater and I was immediately killed.
I asked ChatGPT what to do and it told me that that mission has to be for later, because Blackwater is a no go zone until chapter 3 or 4. It told me that if the mission is there it has to be Rockstar teasing me with it, rather than me actually having to go there. And then it said other missions will pop up, I just have to do a few bounties, sleep, do chores and stranger missions. But other story missions never popped up.

Ok random situation and I don’t know how I did it. On a replay, I’ve stayed in Ch 2 have done some missions except Dutch’s first one. All I’ve done is explore and find things.

I loaded up called my horse and it said my temporary was too far away which is odd because I haven’t had one, went to Valentine called my horse and two horses came to me both with saddles.
The temporary is a Hungarian Halfbreed.

I thought on my last play that I could only saddle my primary, I’d use a temporary to carry one extra animal from a hunt but this is new to me.

I'm talking about the ones that are really worth it either for showing Arthur's character or just a very fun sidequest. yeah but that was in 1899 (or 1907 depending on when you start the mission) and technology (and magic tricks) have far advanced since then

sure there is supernatural stuff in all three games but they usually aren't apart of the main story and made as side missions that are optional or Easter Eggs like the UFO sightings in RD2, or the Strange Man in RD1
