I saw tons of wolves Way out West. Enough that I was able to see them kicking around by themselves and I was able to scope them out with my binoculars. They hang out near the far West trapper location but be careful because just east of that trapper is a grizzly bear, two wolf packs, and the legendary buck. It's a cool place to hunt but also dangerous

Btw how do you analize the cougar or panther? Because when you find them, they are chasing you and its kinda impossible to take the time to analyze them before getting killed or killing them

I have no idea that is a really good question. Some people claim that if your patient enough you can sneak up on the panther South of that plantation. I have tried repeatedly but I've never seen it even though I was slow, using cover scent, and using eagle eye constantly to try to find it

Well outfits and decorations are nice and all but I would focus on the satchel of the east. It's easily the best thing you should shoot for. The earlier you get it the more stuff you collect. The more stuff you collect the more you have to sell when you stop at the vendor

I've been carrying my Springfield (with optional scope) and my bow.
I'm doing a lot of hunting to try to finish the satchel of the East before I proceed from chapter 3. I kind of wish I'd finished the satchel in chapter 2 but oh well.
Between hunting and fighting there isn't anything I can't handle between arrow selection on my bow and ammo scope selection on my rifle.

Honestly my pistols are just there in case there's a lot of enemy gang members and reloading my Springfield gets to be too slow.
If there are a ton of enemy gang members, I've even been known to bust out a stick of dynamite or a Molotov cocktail or two

You can get the best horse in the game in early chapter 2 if you don’t mind doing a funky glitch , I just did it and I’m hyped asf for this playthrough, the beauty is, you don’t have to grind or do anything to story missions , so you can do this glitch with little immersion breaking

If I try to shoot him dead instead of disarming him somehow I get shot when he dies.

I actually managed this very well since I wanted to keep high honor. I learned online that as long as you leave the safe alone (possibly the table money too, but you can save your game and test), you can actually come back to attack this room multiple times. Each time, there will be a new Schofeld pistol in the case. that's how you get duel wielding them as early as Chapter 2. The second time you loot the case and already have a Schofeld on you, they will appear in your weapons list with a poker symbol on them to differentiate. (Spade and a Club symbol, I think??)

ALSO: let the lawmen come in to get you! They usually come in one at a time. First time I did this, the Sherrif himself was first. I roped him the minute he entered the back room and left him tied up on the floor. His men were like "Sherrif!? You OK?!" Then they ran in one at a time themselves. I left the floor littered with a handful of hogtied lawmen (no honor loss or bounty gain for ropin' 'em.) I went to a post office out of town, paid a menial bounty, and went back a couple days later to do it all over again.

Also worth mentioning... for high honor characters, don't hurt or kill the shop owner. He'll be more wary of you and not be pleased you're visiting his shop 2nd or 3rd time around, I'll tell you that! 😂 His reactions to your return are kinda priceless.

I think each has its challenges. I'm sure being chased by tons of lawmen and bounty hunters has you white knuckled most of the time. however, I think it's a challenge to try to accomplish goals without getting a bounty or bad honor.

Getting hunted by itself is a challenge. Imagine you trying to hunt and suddenly they run to you

They are literal moneybags that walk straight to you. Kill them, their dogs, their horses, loot.

Once you got enough valuables and earned enough cash to make a big profit, pay the bounty

Fun story: I was having fun hunting in the West Elizabeth area near the trapper that's against the western edge of the map.
WHILE I was trading him hides and carcasses, the nearby Grizzly bear ran up and tackled me! I actually managed to kill the bear, but holy crap did that scare me. Be careful in that area: bear, wolves, and possible cougar spawn from what I've read - but I havent seen it yet.

Go to lake Isabella and head towards the end of the lake, you should find the horse there

Just hold right click and calm down the horse while carefully and slowly crouch walking towards it

Should be done very quickly

I mean the horse has spawned there the last few times for me but usually it's in the general area so just walk around if it's not within the circle

Also since you're new , make sure you have a rifle ready in case a moose spawns for you , moose are very rare and want to get any chance at getting perfect pelts off of them

And yes , they spawn in that area

The only pelts (on the horse) you keep are the legendary ones and they'll go automatically to the trapper when you interact with him you'll see you can sell them

Is there a way to switch back to the old deadeye so I can shoot the rims of the hats or will I not be able to complete it anymore

You could shoot people in any saloon and once police enter kill them and loot them before any more enter

like xavierre said if you get in the valentine saloon and sit on the stairs or go upstairs and shoot people from there then quickly loot and return to that spot OR you can climb up one of the ladders to one of the accessible roofs in valentine and the cops will follow you up there and you can loot them but i wouldnt recommend it because theres no cover other than the front of the building, it haas to be one with a ladder otherwise the police wouldnt be able to access it

The fact that they are better alive than dead? It’s not really that hard to pick something that DOES keep you alive compared to being hung and not being alive, plus with most outlaws, they have the funds to bribe the law for things like that so long as they aren’t shoot on sight.

I found something. Dead men tell no tales. So by that regard, if you go to emerald ranch, kill everyone and the animals, you can harvest all the animals in your wagon and go off scot free

But the wagon mod seem to be bugged since it cannot store more than 5 animals :/

And rampage helps me set my deadeye back to level 1 for auto target human enemies
