Ahh yeah you should look into yellow cores and yellow rings and understand how the core/ring system works. You can pick mint and combine it with meat to cook, it’ll give you yellow cores, you will not die as easy

Like before any big shootout or mission I’ll usually eat Minty big game meat and thyme big game meat (health and deadeye) then drink a tonic for yellow rings

There is a fast travel when you make camp in the wilderness (which I believe was added later after release) if that’s what you mean

You can also take a train or stagecoach, or upgrade your camp to include a fast travel map, but wilderness fast travel is free

1 you get a free lock breaker after completing a certain chapter 2 mission and 2 you can just shoot the lock

I did that challenge as Arthur. I reached the beach tip near the Lone Mule Stead and it's considered Blackwater territory by the challenge standards.

The only impossible things without loopholes are the dino bones and the last herbalist challenge.

And in youtube tutorials the option to calm the horse appears while you're approaching it

Meanwhile my only option when focusing on one of the horses is to aim my weapon

Except for when I'm right next to the horse, then the Mount Horse option suddenly appears except it's always greyed out even when the horse is seemingly calm

Then i try to press mount horse anyway and i get kicked by the horse anyway

How tf am i supposed to do this

If you lock on the horse it should give you the “calm” option
