I need to rescue Javier Escuella from Blackwater, but every time I cross the river my game starts buggin out. Can't aim, cant open the menu, textures don't appear to load properly. I have to force quit the game, and when I relaunch, the game hangs and never fully loads.

I was able to fix this by erasing my save file folder, creating a new save file, then adding my original saves to the folder. This worked, until I tried to go south again and the same problem occurs. I can repeat the process to get my save file working again, but what is causing the issue?

To be clear, I only have one available mission, and it's to enter not only an area with $300 bounty, but to cross into a new area where it's dead or alive.
