Replaying Red Dead 2 and I really think this camp system could've been perfect had this game not be a prequel.

The camp and the camp fund system sort of has to be useless to how the main story turns out and how the characters treat you because it's a prequel; the ending is already set in stone and we see how the gang turned out in the first game.

This system would be perfect for a game with a new gang/set of characters. Camp funds tying into the viability of missions and how they turn out (if there isn't enough donated, a character dies for instance), camp funds tying into how the characters treat you in and out of the story more, etc.

As it stands now, there's not a whole lot of incentive to actually donate to it because it doesn't affect anything and it kind of has to stay like that.

If your bounties are so high that crime can't possibly increase them, you should make money through the low honor methods while also catching bounties. A good strategy is to pick a region where you're going to make money illegally, there you're gonna have a max bounty, while all the other places are gonna be safe. I'd recommend using West Elizabeth (the Strawberry part, stay away from Blackwater) to rob trains, steal horses, rob stores, ... because you barely go to west Elizabeth until the Epilogues, which are a completely different story. So Ambarino, New Hanover and Lemoyne can be safe states where you have no bounty while West Elizabeth is the place for bad business

idk why but like 9 times out of 10, the animal is never where its said on the map

be on your horse, if you get caught without it, cougars will kill you unlike bears giving you a chance at life. when on the horse youll get knocked off which is your second chance
