Is there a chart I can look at for what weapons I should be using for clean kills on certain animals. For example a varmint rifle is good for killing raccoons but horrible for killing deer

all rifles except varmint are good on medium-large and large animals(ex: deer, bears)
all repeaters are good on nothing but medium sized animals but you will rarely ever use this anyways(ex: foxes)
varmint rifle is good on medium-small animals(ex: rabbits, egret birds)
bow w/ small game arrows for everything smaller(ex: squirrels, robin birds)
shotguns never
revolvers/pistols never
bow w/normal arrows optional for medium-large animals like deer and wolves, but nothing larger
lasso optional for some animals like deer, but never necessary

the game will also tell you what to use if you will take like 5 seconds to study an animal before killing it

and there was never anything wrong with just using trial and error, ammo is incredibly cheap and money is very easy to obtain

So basically I was tryna go somewhere I haven't been (southwest of strawberry smth like that), and on my path I found myself some bounty hunters 😢. I don't mind them not missing a shot, I find the difficulty in that being somewhat fun. However, I respawned right beside them 😭. So after like three deaths cuz I can't escape, I paused the game, went to story, and pressed load game. Then I just loaded the most recent autosave, which was thankfully pretty recent. But then the game kind of didn't load and it brought me to a screen, telling me to "buy red dead redemption 2 story mode". Which I kind of did ngl

Yeah it's best horse for travel but it's way too skittish in combat and buck you off real fast and runs away if theres danger. Also It's kinda small and doesn't really suit Arthur imo lol. But yeah it's good. I'd recommend thoroughbred for early game, you can tame him on the west side of the heartlands. But overall Missouri fox trotter, turkoman or buell in chapter 6
