Finally getting around to playing RDR2 for the first time
(I played a little on a friend's PS4 back in the day)

I'm interested in mods for increased immersion - for instance, longer day/night cycles, better Euphoria physics etc.

My biggest pet peeve (as with all of R* games) is the whole 'kill 200 enemies' as part of mission design.

My ideal experience would be less enemies in battle, but higher stakes - firearms do more damage to both me and enemies, no auto lock-on)

Searched around but didn't see any mods for lowering enemy counts - presumably because those sorts of mods would be difficult to implement without breaking the game (scripted events)

What do you folks recommend ?

you wont find mods that complicated, the closest mod I can recommend is Crime & Law Rebalance and Enhancement Final, it gives the lawman or in general enemies more brains and wont just push you, for ex I went in Valentine, long story short, lawman where chasing me and the sheriff instructed his coworkers to flank me and they did

you can beat people up or do pity crimes but they will be more determinated and they will press you more if you are found in a "investigation" area

or just check the mod it should say what it does

Like, when you're trying to find, say, bears, for example, you have to try and get the area to reload, in order for another to spawn once you've killed one. I have gone a pretty long distance from where I killed an animal, then returned, and the corpse was still where I left it. How do I reload the area in order to have the game spawn another animal?

I cant seem to get her to ask me, or initiate the trigger so I can complete the task. She should be sitting in her place and mentioning something about clothes. Hi, can someone explain me who is the strange man in both the games. On my second play through on the town of Armadillo in the general store I found a portrait of him. And i found a cabin just near kamassa river there was also a portrait of the strange man incomplete I visited it couple of times and it gradually became complete on my last visit I saw the strange man on the mirror but when I turned to see he disappeared

Can anyone who's a fan of GTA give me their opinion?

I've never been able to enjoy GTA, but tbf I may not have given it much of a chance, because at first glance it just seems extremely shallow. RDR1 and RDR2 are absolute masterpieces and I consider RDR2 the greatest piece of media of all time. I cried at the end of chapter 6. The entire story was so deep and beautiful. On the otherhand, from the bits I've played of GTA 5, it seems like it's just about shallow scumbags, with no desire to be anything more than. There's no complexity. Am I wrong?

The series' seem like polar opposites. Both are about criminals/gangsters, but RDR has actual moral complexity

Gta v has two characters working to something. Trevor though, has no real goals other than how much chaos he can cause.

Franklin is like that gameplay/open world/progression guy. Michael represents story players. And Trevor caters to the players jumping into the game for violence.

Michael sold his friends for a striper that cheats on him, a daughter without some fucking brains to use and a good for nothing son who would drug and stole his car and sell his boat, while the past coming back and biting him. Franklin is just fed up of the same small crimes for pity money , being motivated to do whatever needs to be done to finally be in the big league and never endure shit from anyone

2. it’s somewhere on the map if you look for the horsie icon, but as you said, you respawned with your secondary horse which could mean that it did indeed die

3. game bugged and it robbed you

so you should either move on and buy it again probably, or try reloading a save file, but that’s only if the game saved after you bought it

you’d have to have a save file in that time window before you died but after you purchased the horsie

I saw a youtube video where somebody went into the stables, fed a horse a few times to bond with it then went outside and whistled it and it appeared outside then he rode off. You have to shoot some people so you'll get a bounty but it's not as much as the horse costs
