Is there a way to keep my horse clean for longer time

I tried brushing it for like four times and when i leave valentine and go to the heartlands it gets a bit dirty

and i noticed that around valentine/heartlands area, it got dirty faster

and it’s because of the muddy roads

the only way i keep it clean is by brushing it every whenever it gets a bit dirty

i get that its annoying at times because the horse gets dirty fast

and it’s more visible too cause it’s white

If you play the game at its seemingly intended pace, moving slowly and savoring the experience, spending time in camp, etc it’s an easy 100+ hour journey

Ive spent hours just at camp doing chores, running through dialogue, getting drunk. Seen a lot of encounters i never wouldve seen before taking my time at camp

For example on my second playthrough I triggered a scene where strangers find Horseshoe Overlook and question Hosea. Got knocked out by John while drunk antagonizing people. Saw Charles take Micah down. So many Micah encounters that I never saw before that truly solidify his piece of shittery

Yeah spending time at camp is awesome. Though I haven't done it that much because the slow walk is annoying and you have to wait for things to happen. I kinda prefer riding around exploring nature and the cities

The slow walk does get a bit annoying but after Horseshoe it gets better because the Rhodes camp is a smaller camp area so you can ride your horse in closer and run around the outside of the camp instead of walking through it

To really get all the random encounters including the unmarked ones you have to take the game real slow. Like spending days in certain towns sometimes

But, rescuing Micah does serve one good purpose if you plan to take the game slow. If you spend enough time in camp you’ll really start to see that he’s a major piece of shit and always was. My first playthrough his betrayal seemed kind of random, but after playing more slowly, I see now that he was always a prick

He harasses women, kills dogs, is a huge racist. You really start to see how he’s the complete antithesis of Arthur if you spend the time

The relationship he builds with Dutch really perplexes me lol obviously Dutch loses his head somewhere along the line, but as we know Dutch “raised” Arthur completely differently. Dutch was certainly no racist or harasser of women or any of the things Micah is so it’s interesting to me how things panned out

Also, small tip in case you want to find out something about Micah early on, go back and check out his old camp near Strawberry

And a similar tip relating to Dutch, in Horseshoe Overlook there’s a pile of boxes down to the left of the camp (when facing the camp from the horse area). Interesting find down there if you want some info on Dutch as well

I always use the Schofield until I get the LeMat revolvers.

They're a good choice in my opinion. Though guns don't have much difference if you're using dead eye a lot, and getting headshots. As long as it's rate of fire is good, then it should be fine. Now if you don't use dead eye a lot, and may need to shoot them in the body, Schofield is good for both, but you may find something different you like more. My suggestion would be try out all, or a few of them for an hour each, and see which one you like most.

Consoles can rarely run mods. I use skyrim and fallout mods, and my games crash quite a bit. Now imagine RDR2 with it's scale. Sure the games I mentioned are big, but the graphics on RDR2 are damn good, which does take up a lot.

I mean if you can find it cheap. At my gamestop, a steel book ultimate edition is like $20 when they have it. If you're paying more, then I'd say probably not, as you've probably paid quite a bit for the standard anyways.

I don't think you get much else from the other editions.

I own the collector box as well. I'm probably gonna buy the steelbook ultimate edition because I love steelbooks.

Money wise though, it's best to stick with your standard edition. You may get like an outfit or two, maybe a horse and gun. I don't think it'll be worth full price though.

Once I get far enough, I go to LeMat revolvers, bolt action rifle, and the Lancaster repeater. I will swap out the bolt action for the carcano rifle for long range things.

Sadly, when I became John I lost my damn carcano rifle. I had it for a bit, did a mission, then it was gone. I have to buy it again.

So challenges can be frustrating, especially the gambler ones. I would start there. However, some are locked until the epilogue. Another thing is hunting and skinning animals. I'd do this stuff in chapter 2.

If you check the completion part in the menu, find what you can do in chapter 2. Taking a bath, go to a show, discover some gang hideouts, etc.

Not really. Like many gang members said, it's not worth it. Even dutch said it's not the only money in the world. Plus, Dutch even said on the first mission that the cops knew they were coming, implying a rat. Pinkertons may have known where the money was. Micah also set Dutch up on the last mission. We saw Pinkertons arrive to Micahs dead body. He used the money to lure dutch out, and have Pinkertons take him out.

There was multiple scenarios stating how bad of an idea it was to send anybody there.

Dutch just didn't wanna risk it, and kept going for other big scores.
