if you also want a trainer, there's rampage trainer and lenny's simple trainer, you can use them for certain visual effects at the bare minimum
other trainers exist but those 2 are the most popular ones iirc
some mods also just conflict so if you still have issues look at the readmes of mods and their pages, they normally cite what they edit and will list a few common compatibility issues. If they have a merge, normally use that to have both conflicting mods at once. Sometimes mods authors can't make compatibility patches so you just have to live without one of the mods
