I feel so stupid. But at the same time I havenā€™t seen a single guide in RDR 2 that tells you to flick the left analog stick instead of pulling it down when youā€™re fishing. It took me 20 minutes to catch 3 legendary fish and that includes the time it took to get to each spot

Do you guys that have trouble fishing, do not hold the right analog stick in any direction with the fish are struggling trust me it ainā€™t gonna be able to out pull you if that makes any sense.

Just control the line in the opposite direction the fish is going and then when you go to reel DONT pull back and hold the left stick, just keep flicking it and it will jerk the fish towards you very fast.

I started a play through in 2020 and I stopped like a month later just before the last few missions with Arthur. I was doing the Algernon wasp side quest, and AC Valhalla came out so I started playing that. Then I played another mission in 2021 and eventually sold the game. I started watching some gameplay and started missing it so I rebought it this year and didnā€™t feel like playing that save so I started over. I was at 72% in that save. Iā€™m at 51% and Iā€™m still on chapter 2 so Iā€™m making really good progress
