After you get a stat to level 8, you than have to complete certain challenges in order to unlock their set at the Trapper, and then purchase said set. Don't worry, you don't have to actually wear the set, just buy it, to unlock Level 9 and 10.

On the Train Bridges north and south of Rhodes is a good place to look for Robins. The Dakota River is, eh... Since you have the problem of them going into the deep water of the river. I also spent hours looking for them on that river and never could get a Perfect. But 20ish minutes looking on those Train Tracks and I got a Perfect.

@red helm i got a woodpecker also on Dakota river. mid to upper part of it, also sitting on a rock and the water is shallow so you can walk in it and just pick them up, but most time i shoot a bird on a rock, it stays on the rock. I shoot small birds with the varmint gun, it'll lower a 3 * to 2 *, but if you have the buck trinket, they'll turn to 3 * carcasses. That way you can kill them from much further.

There are lots of places on that river where things will "Drown" down. And Yeah, I had the Buck trinket since Chapter 2, believe me. I'd use the Small Game Arrows when the birds where on the ground and such.

@wary ore I must admit, if I use deadeye, because my vision is failing a bit, I have a very hard time seeing the smaller stuff, like tiny birds or rats, unless the ground is bare like on the mud flats north of St-Denis. So most smaller animals I find eithr because they are somewhere where they stand out or because I saw movement. For anything that's jack rabbit size or bigger including npc's, I never use deadeye as i find it makes it all too easy. I'm sure I'll eventually come across a chimpmunk somewhere. What I also do now is I try to get a 3* carcass of all the smaller stuff I come across in case i eventually need them. Sadly from doing that, I just found that that the carcasses rot away over time. Where's the freezer hehe.

this is my first time around playing rdr2, after i got the white arabian and got a few horse revivers, thinking it owuld let you bring back your horse if it died, it doesn't 🙂 it seems to only work to keep your horse from dying while it's on the ground bleeding out.

i died yesterday due to a horse, when i'm roaming about I'm also always hunting, so i always bring a 2nd horse to be able to carry more pelts and stuff, at some point i came to a group of raiders and i was not ready, they start chasing me, so i took some distance and tried to stop and turn around to snipe a few raiders, ran face to face into my 2nd horse, me and both horses went flying off a cliff hehe, it was fun.

the other day, i was following the Dakota river on foot with the horses following me, for some odd reason a muskrat attacked me, repeatedly, like 6 or 7 times it bit me, it didn't kill me but i was backing up to try and shoot it and fell off a small cliff onto other rocks and died hehe

there are a lot of them in some places, seems how many you'll see depends on time of the day
early morning and later afternoon is best time, you can find many.
quite a few animals are more abundant is specific time of day or night, like you'll have a hard time finding a possum during the day but in the middle of the night they are easy to find.
as they are nocturnal animals, same with wolves, you have much more chance to come uppon a pack of wolves at night

@wary ore most black bears I've seen were up north, some all the way west up north in general area where the legendary moose is, and then keep going east from there in the mountains, you'll eventually find one but they seem far less common than grizzlies
but i would have to go in game and check my map to give you a specific spot

they are used to craft clothes and other stuff, you just sell them to Trapper and when you want him to craft something that uses legendary stuff, he will use them, u only need one legendary pelt of some kind to craft all the items that uses it

@wary ore yeah it's best to make your way to Trapper as soon as you can after killing a legendary, as once in a while there's a bug that see them vanish for some reason, it nevr happened to me but I've seen people here mention they lost a legendary pelt quite a few times. especially if you die while the pelt is on your horse.
make sure you sell them to Trapper, not some butcher
as i said earlier, before you start the hunt of a legendary, always make a save.
i actually make 2 or 3 of the same save as game tend to overwrite saves

Don't know if it's the most Dishonorable. It's just the mission that teaches you about the Honor System. Either you Help him for a Plus Honor, Or you don't for a Negative Honor.
