@thin coral I think different horses will suit different player depending how they play the game. I like the white arabian because I enjoy hunting the more dangerous predators, the Arabian is so skittish that it warns me of the presence of predators way before I can ever see them. But if you end up in battle with npc's or there is a lot of gun fire going on, the arabian can become hard to handle and it can get confused and may take a while before you can get it to take off at full speed. For combat and firefights a nice sturdy war horse is way better, they don't scare easily are heavier and you can even use them to ram other horses, especially smaller ones. I think it's best to have a few specialized horses rather than just one.

When on the white arabian in the wild, not only will it warns you if predators are nearby but you can also figure out which direction they are at as the horse will refuse to move in that direction, if you keep trying to force it to go there, naturally you'll most likely end up on your butt on the ground. 🙂

I just find it facinating that all that was coded into it all.

Try to broaden your search area a bit. Where they show on the map isn't exactly where they appear. And try different times of the day and night. Also I believe the game works on a bit of a place holder system so once in the area start shooting stuff.

yesterday just outside of St Denis, i came uppon raiders attacking a train, i killed all of them, then decided to go on a train ride and see if I could cause some mayhem. At some point I heard another train behind me, waited til in long tunnel up north, stopped my train and went to attack the other train, was nothing to steal except for what was in their pockets after i killed them. The i backed up the 2nd train far away so that i could gain full speed going forward and hit the train i was on before. Sadly the game will not let you smash 2 trains together. 😦
