The cores mean different things. The heart is health, the lightning bolt is stamina, The eye looking thing is Dead eye.

The logo is how fast something refills (i believe), the outer ring is how much you have of said thing. When the outer ring is gone, itll use the logo to keep you going.

np. also a tip for the future: cooked meat is the best food to eat, especially "big game meat" which you get from predator animals like wolves or gators

you can also make seasoned meat using the three plants mint, oregano and thyme which will boost the amount of core you get back

since big game meat already full restores your core, cooking it with one of the seasoning herbs will actually give you a golden core for that stat

which is basically an overcharged core

the buff lasts a long time so its really helpful to eat one of these before a mission
