I would have liked Red Dead Redemption 2 to have a “Never-Dying Nightmare” mode. There was still time, and Rockstar didn't have any other projects at the time except for the annual downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto. We could see Arthur kill Dutch or Michael in the epilogue of the game's extra mode, or the apocalypse happen while Arthur is still alive and the gang has to survive, just like in the first game, which would actually make New Austin available for exploration and give it meaning.
