Collector role is basically going around the map collecting random stuff for a lady called madam nazar
It takes time but it's the most rewarding
There are other roles too
Like bounty hunter but they are harder to get money in

In order to get an role you need 15 gold bars

What I recommend you to do is go to the rockstar website and enable two step verification on your acount, after 78 hours you will receive 10 gold bars as an reward in rdo

Get the remaining 5 gold bars from online story misions

After you've obtained 15 gold bars get the collector role
Alot of cash and xp

Or you can just pay actuall money and buy gold bars from the store
