the only armor and weapons really worth your time are the Witcher School sets, and until you can equip them you should just use the best shit you can get

and there’s a setting that auto-applies your blade oils according to the enemy you’re facing, so you dont have to go looking for it each time or try to figure out what you’re fighting

and geralt always pulls out the correct sword for the enemy you’re facing, and if you have the wrong one then it wont do any good damage anyways and geralt will unequip

If you're gonna play naturalist, you'll need the varmint rifle. For trader so you can get better pelts with the bolt action rifle and aim for the heads of the bigger animals
