- Currently cold emailing labs, and I'm interested in researching this rare autoimmune disorder primarily because both of my parents have it (meaning I'm also likely to be diagnosed with it down the line too). Is it weird to mention that in a cold email? It is genuinely a part of my interest + I'd also read their papers and bring stuff up from those too
- Will labs let you work on research virtually over the summer?
- I want to shadow this summer back home, and my school term ends in mid-June. When should I start emailing/calling around? Is now too early?
- Any recommendations for clinical or nonclinical volunteering over the summer?

- Do it, might get some of the more empathetic souls to respond
- Lab and role specific. No general answer
- If youre doing it through a hospital the paperwork could take a month+ to go through. If its PP you could show up same day after signing waivers
