whats the use case for the pc
For gaming
country?
is peheriphals or monitor part of budget?
if US, do you live near a microcenter
USA, monitor is part of budget, peripherals are not, I do live near a microcenter
can u say which microcenter?
also u dont rlly need a 5090, a 5080 is enough
but with that budget, u can make the best of the best
The one in Atlanta, and I really want a 5090
i gotchu
imma see if i can hook u up with a 9950x3d too
i managed to make a build under 5k ith it so microcentermay be cheaper
98*
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D, GeForce RTX 5090, MSI MAG FORGE 321R AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
performance wise, beside cooling, cant get much better
Meaning theres no need to go for astrals or lower ram timings etc
or a 9950x3d
U can change the case, cpu cooler and upgrade to a 9950x3d if youd like, I jus personally prefer that cpu cooler cuz it works for me and the case is fine as well
also for gaming, i dont see much of a diff between 9950x3d and 9850x3d but u can upgrade for more cores
If I want a 4tb ssd which one should I look for?
Preferably TLC NAND ssds, gen 4 (or 5 if u want but it isnt important enough), speeds above 6k preferably is decent but 5k is fine, read and write
If u want dram then sure
Bad ssd
Tlc or qlc doesn't matter as long as it's good
And rated speeds don't mean jack shit
+the 5090 isn't actually in stock

If you have any questions, lmk
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 5090, Lian Li Vector V100R ATX Mid Tower
And what exactly is good then
And how does the nand type not matter
????
Then what do you classify as a good ssd? What, its color or something?
Unless ur talking about random IOPs, which contribute mostly to booting the pc
So you downgrade the micro center kit.... for what reason exactly... your build vs mine (with the changed gpu) is just a $75 difference
Just realized he sent an ssd with the exact same specs, same TBW everything, but youre paying $55 extra for 100k more random read speed, im sleep
Whats even crazier is youre paying extra for the ps5 logo. The sn850x is the same thing
- psu with less wattage 😭
do u want me to list every single nand?
because... it doesent, explain how it does?
an ssd that wouldnt kill itself. an ssd that isnt slow as shit. (u dont listen to manufacturer ratings, u go out and actually check in reviews)
...same exact specs? they do not share a nand nor a controller, tf are u talking about?
and no, we arent paying for a ps5 logo, its just the ssd that makes the most sense to get
you are clueless about ssds
Riiiiight
No need to, I alr know about the two diff ones, and patriot takes the edge, whats your point
Okay, get a slc, if you can find one, and use it.
Furthermore, tell me when it dies
the X3-6070 is better than bics5? sure buddy.
love the 0 arguments
???
You know the only reason the drive keeps up is mostly because of the DRAM cache
Its literally brtter in every aspect
Furthermore, youre getting down into the very technical aspects for that price gap, and the dude jus tryna play games too
DRAM isnt needed if thats also what u wanna say.
I dont argue with stupidity
"They dont have the same controller" no shit, ones micron the other is wd
One is black and white the other is black
Either ways, the OP is doing his thing, I really dont get why u had to push ur mouth in for no reason. You argue that nand type doesnt matter but it does. I dont feel like explaining to you but Id give you homework. Research about the bits per cell, P/E cycles, density and its sustainability after SLC cache.
You argue that read and write doesnt matter then wanna compare controllers. The WD has more channels, yes, thats why its output is higher in read and write, but its slower NAND is the reason why the patriot ssd keeps up with it for a lower price. For gaming, you also dont need all that read and write. The RANDOM IOPS are about the same too.
DRAM doesnt matter for gaming, some say this is subjective but it isnt. HMB is more than enough mr ssd professional
brotato, the X3-6070 nand is questionable at best. i dont give a single fuck about the dram
...so u agree they quite literally do not share specs?
Yo, buy both of them and compare them for gaming and booting your pc
if u are so smart, then tell me - what is the pec number for the us75?
cuz i doubt u have that
big dawg thinks qlc vs tlc matters when the drive he suggested IS qlc
the X3-6070 version isnt even reviewed btw. im not talking about any of that. im saying dont fucking rely on manufacturer numbers which is the most basic thing ever
Because you keep talking about X3-6070
And Im literally proving to you how your ssd literally matches up to the worst version of mine this entire time
Furthermore, I already told you what to do, go do your homework. Ive showed you why you calling the ssd shit was unnecessary
And then proceeded to send an ssd that should be "shit" in your eyes too
both are kinda irrelevant when p5 plus is $200 for 2tb
i’d probably go with this with p5 plus and a nicer case like lancool 217 or something
no reason to go 78x3d here
Fr? I didnt see that
Damn
This question wouldve gotten me btw
Because the PE cycles on the QLC version of the ssd is shit
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D, GeForce RTX 5090, Antec FLUX ATX Mid Tower
get a nice 4k oled with the rest of the money
...how? Yours is literally unreviewed
And you are still yet to name the number
guys can we all agree there is no bad 2tb m.2 in this market... just get what you can 😭 🙏
prices are bad enough, people are resorting to 500gb nvmes these days
nobody is lol
