so there is a problem where when I turn on my PC it doesn't display on the monitor, so I took it to the local service center. so initially they tried cleaning my RAM or just installing one RAM stick but it still doesn't work, now when my PC is used with another RAM from another PC it will turn on and display like that. and also if I use my RAM on another PC it will turn on the other PC. well they said there is a problem between the RAM or the CPU. can somebody help me please?

I really want to only change the ram, but the guy that work on my pc said, there could be this kinda problem again because of he said ryzen "memory controller" is damaged, but if its damaged wouldn't be the other ram from other pc wouldn't work on my pc too. This part really left me confused
this is the fun part
there 2 chanenls if they only tested 1 stick in lets say channel B and it worked and your ram was in channel A that can be why
if you had a overclock running on the ram swaping the ram will of had bios remove that
I never oc anything on my pc
So is it because of the cpu or the ram?
idk
do you have system right now
plug stick 1 in channel A
No i do not man
then stick 2 in channel A
then stick 1 in channel B
then stick 2 in channel B and fill out the 2x2 matrix
if the tech did not do that i will be very sad
I think they do it all, they already test stick from other pc and plug it on my pc it work, also my ram on other pc it work too
Could it be due to sudden power outages? It happens quite often, I don't use a UPS either.
no
ok so you dont know if they did or did not
or you know is they took your ram out and chucked in other pc and other ram in your pc
not what slots
Yea i didn't really notice the slot sorry
But what I'm confused about is if there really is a problem with the Ryzen "memory controller" as they say, won't other RAM also not work on my PC no?
they dont know much about computers if that word for word what they said
Hmmm should i buy new ram then?
test like i said your self
Im gonna contact them
ask them did they test all memory channels/slots with there ram
also if it turns out 1 channel out right dose not work can allso be dead motherboard and not cpu
The the slot goes like ABAB or AABB?
its labed on board
and its A1/a2/b1/b2 on most boards
most boards the right slots for best ram oc is a2/b2
just test 1 slot at a time with both sticks
I think it is A1/A2/B1/B2
Does that mean you usually insert the stick in A2 B2?
And what you said means fill each, like fill each A1/A2, then B1/B2 or A1/B1, then A2/B2?
Sorry for asking too many questions, I'm new to this kind of thing 🙏
I mean try a1 then a2 then b1 then b2 with stick 1 and then do same with stick 2
And keep track of what worked/dont work
1 stick each slot and then both stick each slot yes?
Just 1 stick at time and fill out a matix
Ok, I'll send them the message
I will send you another message once this has been answered by them.
Hey @thorny viper, If they tested everything, what result am i looking or the next step after this?
