My internet speed is 500/50 which i get on all my devices. However for some reason my wifi on my laptop sometimes is the full speed an sometimes drops to 250/0.4. I have tried to reinstall drivers, restart, flushing dns and all of that, checked task manager. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this.

Could be an antenna problem, or you could be too close to your WiFi router

#

Closer than a meter can cause problems

#

Having a disconnected or broken primary antenna could do what you describe

#

See if other devices show the same problems. You can safely ignore DNS in further troubleshooting as it is not relevant.

also I just disabled Receive Segment Coalescing (RSC) and now on when i try to speedtest, for half a second it shows me my actual speed like 470/49 and then switches back to 150/0.10

#

could this be bc i downloaded a few networking tools like wireshark and glasswire, nmap on windows

and it was nothing to do with steam in that case making slow download it was windose thinking program shoud not be given more then 4 ecores to do the work and it was bottle necking download
