#Laptop randomly gives lower download and under 1mbps upload speed

Could be an antenna problem, or you could be too close to your WiFi router
Closer than a meter can cause problems
Having a disconnected or broken primary antenna could do what you describe
See if other devices show the same problems. You can safely ignore DNS in further troubleshooting as it is not relevant.
no i only get thus problem on my windows pc
When i connected my laptop though ethernet (usb hub), it gve similar results like 150-250 download and upload is under 0.10
on linux it works fine so i am assuming its maybe a software problem
what cpu you got? since i have seen windose in some cases running download on few of the cores for power/not messing with other programs when doing downloads since there some file decompression
mosty happens on hybreed cpus
on windose setting the progam proroity to higher vaules fixed it at least in the case i ran into it
Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz, 2419 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
also I just disabled Receive Segment Coalescing (RSC) and now on when i try to speedtest, for half a second it shows me my actual speed like 470/49 and then switches back to 150/0.10
could this be bc i downloaded a few networking tools like wireshark and glasswire, nmap on windows
i have no idea about those tools
they are mainly analyzers i use in linux.
how did you do it?
I don't have steam on this laptop
and it was nothing to do with steam in that case making slow download it was windose thinking program shoud not be given more then 4 ecores to do the work and it was bottle necking download
intresting, I will try to see if this is the problem on mine
your cpu is not a hybreed so its unlinky unless you have 3'ed party software doing that
i have since stoped using it my self i did not use it since 11 came out
I tried it doesn’t work
