I’m tryna put a gpu in here and possibly upgrade ram and cpu if needed

I7-7700T
2x4gb ram slow ass speed
No gpu
180 watt psu
1tb hdd
I want to put in a 1660 level card or better and maybe a better cpu and ram and definitely a psu to power the card
Is it worth it or should I just buy another pc on ebay or get the nzxt monthly pc for 80$

You cant upgrade the CPU to a newer generation
And this kind of computers have a lot of limits
Id say its worth upgrading if its with second-handed parts

We would need the exact model of HP Slimline in order to know what CPUs it might support. You can find the model number on a sticker on the rear, side, or top of the case. HP sometimes calls it the Product Number (P/N) instead of Model Number. A serial number (S/N) will likely work too.

HP does not list the product specifications for that computer on their support site it seems. Reason 273645 I no longer recommend HP.

The Intel Core i7-7700T is the second highest CPU you can run - I presume the Intel Core i7-7700 (non-T) would run, though you may need a power supply with more watts. It's not worth it though - the performance between the 2 is negligeable.
Better to save money to replace this almost 10 year old PC.

@onyx palm @balmy knot if I just said fuck it and throw in 2x8 gb ram then a low profile rtx 3050 could I play some modded Minecraft with it it should I save for a more advanced pc
