this seems to apply to all “non-steam” games and a few steam games launched through steam
in desktop mode if i open an app, the res is set to 1920x800 and it fills the whole screen
if i lqunch the same game from gaming mode, set to the same resolution, i get black bars on top bottom and sides of the game
in game menu says game is still 1920x800
very annoying, any ideas?

all the black bars in the image are visable to me
this is whole screen, the grey bars and black bars around that also included
however when i launch in desktop mode, all the resolution is fine and there are no grey or black bars
