Hello, i have a 3080, B550, 5600x, 32gb of dd4-3200 (running at 3000) and a crucial p310.
Ive been getting theese crashes for a while, and i recently swapped my motherboard (from b450, because i thought it was a gen3/4 conflict error) and it worked perfectly fine for maybe 3 weeks then the crashes started happening again, i had a 2080 super and it still happened, so ive ruled out gpu and motherboard, im 90% sure its a PSU issue, cause the recent ones cause immidiete crashes and restart. Im using an apevia prestige 800w, and im pretty sure thats the issue, just wanted to check if anyone more experienced could tell me if they think it could be software or anything else

@balmy zephyr it crashes after a bit or instantly?
it crashes after a bit, could be fine for 5 hours, or could last 30 minutes
it does only happen when im gaming but it also* happens on really low intensity stuff like roblox
I want you to go to event viewer and find the an error , because we might have the same problem
i just get the generic "previous system shutdown was unexpected error" but i also get a bunch of other stuff later after it restarts
the crash itself happened at 2:18
Go to the warning the top one
@balmy zephyr okay check the event is 10016 , it's the problem I have
yeah thats the one right before the error
I face the same problem
@opal oyster Select the Kernel Power Event ID 41 event
Then click on the Details tab in the bottom half
Screenshot

I had this message from a warning
You have it in your screenshot
Above the highlighted one
How to get to this menu? Maybe I can fix my pc from crashing
I messaged you in your thread
is this the right thing?
alright seems like a power problem, i know my temps are all in check so guess ill have to bite the bullet on a new psu
Windows isn't doing the shutdown so power is the most likely suspect
