upgrade or start from scratch?

I have a acer n50-600 its got ddr4 16gb intel i5-8400 2.8ghz and a gtx1050 (I know not good gpu) it does have 256gb of storage but I have a 1tb external, I know now is not the greatest time to try building a computer but i have some money saved up, as the title says should i upgrade the pc or make a whole new one.

I've got about £360 saved up but i am getting a paycheck soon so that should be around £450

Get ryzen 5600xt for 120, 3080 for 290, and some 850w psu for 80 pounds or so and that would be a bit over budget but best

I don’t know how you can get a 3080 for sub 400 could I choose an amd?

eBay.uk I see one for 278 (probably boutta get snatched) one for 290 and many for 300
