its fine
if anyone tells you to run some random ass script do not do it, even i as someone who has a deeper understanding of this stuff did so and my computer has become pretty unstable after
oh so like is there anything you suggest i do to maybe make it run smoother
what are your specs
meh install hwinfo open it and send a pic of the hardware overview it gives
you should have pretty good performance on those specs
but alot of my memory is being used
16GB is just not enough
Unused memory is wasted memory.
But also, what @maiden ore says may be true, depending on what you're using your computer for. 8GB is still "acceptable" for basic office use, meanwhile 16GB has become the new "minimum" for people using their computers for gaming or any amount of multitasking.
A ton of programs are no longer written in a performant, low-resource language - many apps now use ElectronJS (or some variant of it) which means they're just a glorified Chromium browser. This does make them easier to program / distribute... at the expense of offloading all their UI/UX rendering (and much of the logic) onto the client hardware, sometimes making things feel slower.
