The problem started on 2/4/26. I did a normal Windows Update, restarted my laptop, and it looks like the BIOS updated with it. Ever since then, whenever I connect my AirPods and try to play anything with sound, the audio works for about five minutes and then stops. The AirPods stay connected, but there’s no sound. The only temporary fix is disconnecting and reconnecting them, but that only works for another five minutes. I’ve tried asking AI, messing with Bluetooth drivers and sound settings, but I don’t really know what else to do. Any help would be appreciated.

i did get it to fix once when i installed a sound driver and was able to play fortnite with my airpods for about 3 hours then the next day it started acting the same
its pretty annoying because i cant even watch videos anymore and without airpods in every about 5 mintues my laptop will do a buzzzzzzzz and freeze my game for a couple seconds and audio comes back
12:47 to 17:40 is all i can watch before i have to disconnect and reconnect 😭 same with playing any games w sound or doing ANYTHING

No. The laptop has an OEM key which is bound to the motherboard. It will always be usable on windows installs on that laptop

You need to delete all the partitions on disk 0. This will make the data on the drive unrecoverable without special software

Disk 1 is the usb drive so if you delete that partition you’d nuke everything and need another computer to redo the installation usb

I don't recommend "tweaking" or "optimizing" Windows, unless you're prepared to perform another reinstall when (not if) something eventually goes sideways. To be clear, you're welcome to try, but if you break it, you must keep both pieces.

And unless you have a significant cpu bottleneck, it doesn’t really matter what else is running because your CPU’s many cores are designed to handle that
