Buying a pc soon, all I would be playing for now is minecraft running on shaders and maybe fortnite on high graphics. The 5060 only has 8GB VRAM while the 9060XT has 16GB but with an older generation cpu. Was open to upgrading the cpu for the 9060XT build, any help would be appreciated a lot

Other Specs:
9060XT
• 16GB DDR5 6000
• 1TB M.2 SSD

5060
• 16GB DDR5
• 1TB NVMe SSD

There's no 12gb 9060xt

Idk where you are but look into how the price of the 12600kf compares to the other CPUs

I meant 16gb lol, the two options are prebuilds but i was going to upgrade the cpu for the 9060XT

If get the 9060 xt 16gb for sure. 12400f and 14400f aren't that far off

The 5060 is probably going to be faster than the 9060

#

When I use shaders in Minecraft I rarely ever hit 8gb of vram usage on my 5070

As someone with a 12400F, I think you'd be better with the 9060XT build. Sure the CPU is a little older, but the difference in GPU more than makes up for it imo

#

the 14400 is essentially a 12400 with 4 additional "efficiency cores" and slightly higher frequency

I’ve been considering it
How many fewer fps will it give (or equivalently, will higher settings use my cpu more at all) considering my gpu is kinda heavily bottlenecked by my 7600x (shoulda gotten x3d lol)? So, id do it if it didn’t noticeably lower performance - free visual upgrade

Unlike for Minecraft, where I’m ok with running 140fps (kinda at the border where it stops looking significantly smoother), I don’t really want lower fps in Fortnite
