I'd get something used if you're looking at budget options. I think there's some decent options with either 3080s or 3070s on eBay which don't offer too many compromises compared to newer 40/50 series laptops, look on ebay, find one that appeals to you, check youtube reviews, and buy if you end up liking it

If you're wanting to go Mac, some of those games do run on mac via crossover i believe, like miles morales. Haven't tried it on mine but I believe it runs over d3dmetal. I'd check the games you're wanting to play now on youtube or reddit (if you use it) see if anyone else has gotten the game working on mac, and if you're ok with figuring out mac gaming then i'd buy a used m1 or m2 pro machine. m1 pro 14c still has a better gpu than the m4 (cpu wise, even the 9 core m4 wins) and the m2 pro, while mostly marginal when cores are equal, does offer more cores for a close enough amount of cash. if you can, spec ram before storage on ebay or facebook marketplace. you can always use external ssd, you can never use external ram.
