Hey guys, hopefully dumb question: is there a reason a power button stops working? I came back to my pc being asleep which makes sense but the power button didn't wake it up. Holding it didn't shut it down either, I had to switch off the psu. Now it won't turn on, ive tried reseating the power button cable but that didn't work. Any ideas or is something dead?

Any loose connection or hardware? Also what are some of the specs pf your pc. I had a team group mp33 512gb m.2 that actually stopped a pc from booting after it died once
5900x
3080 fe
Seasonic psu
Samsung nvme
Msi mobo
I dont think theres anything loose, internet says maybe faulty psu or mobo? Hoping not those, especially mobo
It doesn't fail to start either, it just doesn't power at all, no diagnostic lights on mobo
Are you using stock cables
Stock PSU cables? Yeah and the official seasonic cable for the 3080
Hmm have u googled the specfic model number for the psu?
Also have u tried shorting the pins on the board?
Or clearing the cmos
Sorry not sure why these didn't show for me
Its the seasonic focus plus 750w if that helps? Which i believe is SSR-750FX
I tried shorting the pins and even an extra power button but nothing
I took the bios battery out and put it back but no luck, do I need a new batt?
