CPU upgrade

I currently have a Ryzen 9 7900, but i think i have some issues with it and i am thinking about my options.

My motherboard is a B650 Pro Rs, whats the best cpu i could put on it, when i combine it with a RTX 5080.

For gaming, you shouldn't have bought the 7900 in the first place tbh

It can be used for gaming but not ideal

i had 2 instances when i played cod bo7, that suddenly my fps drop to the bottom and that my screen image of the game looses on sharpens and the colour change weirdly , it happend on the same spot of the map

i did not want to buy it but i did not have an option cause i build the pc to bad time i know its not the best for gaming but i needed a new pc

Then I hardly doubt its your cpu causing that problem

If u do wanna upgrade ur cpu, u can do 7800x3d

but the problem started when i upgraded my gpu from a 4070 to a 5080

Seems like a definite gpu issue

i did a stress test and got a value which is completly in the range

i did that many times and also one for 15 minutes and no issues

Hm, well I wont be able to help you further on the specific cause but I can generalize and say its most likely the GPU
