Moved backup power supply today and found what appears to be battery acid underneath it, leaked onto a case below it and into said case, onto a standard PSU within.
UPS is outside now, along with the case it leaked onto. I'd like to retain the case and the PSU, but my understanding is the acid from the batteries in a UPS is more corrosive than that you'd get from a AA battery

Vinegar could be used to clean up residue, but I wouldn't advise adding more acid to an existing acid leak...
