Hey y'all I'm planning to upgrade my current PC which has a 3700x with 16GB memory and an RTX 2060 Super. My issue with the PC right now is I can play almost all new games only on 1080p low settings at almost 60FPS. I was thinking of upgrading to a 5080, I'd ideally like to play newer titles in 4K 120. I play games like Battlefield 6, The Finals and whatever new AAA title looks good. Is the 5080 the right direction or am I going to be bottlenecked by the rest of my build? Budget is a bit too tight to do a full PC upgrade right now.

If you don't already have a monitor 1440p OLED is probably a better choice than 4k 120. More expensive, but you could get away with a cheaper GPU.

Plan is to slowly upgrade 1 component at a time. For the target FPS and resolution Im looking for what other options are available?

I mean if its in your budget 5080 is perfect for 4k

Could get away with a 5070ti or 9070xt if you don't mind medium graphics or upscaling
