M.2 not being detected

Why is my m.2 not being detected in windows setup or bios? (I tried re seating and changing slots)

i basically bought a heatsink for my m.2, this heatsink comes with a couple things:-

1: the heatsink itself , 2: the thermal pad, 3: rubber/latex rubberband, 4: metal piece that helps hold the m.2 and heatsink together

when i had the rubberband and metal piece on (they were touching the back of the m.2) the drive wouldn't get recognized for some reason removing them seems to actually fix the issue somehow
